Readers, Help Me Name My Next Book!
NEED YOUR HELP, READERS! Hello, everyone. I am working on the next installment of the My Son’s Wife series. I thought that I was finished with this line of books, but God has given me more to write about the Graham family. I write according to titles, but God has His own agenda and this time, He’s given me the story (full of drama, drama, drama, even I am excited for it to hit the shelves in 2012!) but I do not have a title.
Can you all help me out? Please send me your suggestions about the title of the fourth book in this series. I will collect all of your titles and decide which title to use according to the storyline. The winner will definitely be acknowledged in my book and also receive a $50 Gift Certificate to Urban Expressions Bookstore. (If you live outside of Memphis, you can still use the gift certificate with them by going online).
Okay, Readers: Here is the synopsis of the next installment. I need your titles by November 1, 2011.
Ever heard of the saying, “If it’s not one thing, it’s another?” Seems like this holds true for the Graham family. Stiles Graham, pastor of Holy Rock Church and his new wife, Detria, try to enjoy a peaceful, happy marriage and their new title of parents after she gives birth to a beautiful, chubby, baby girl who they name after Stiles deceased mother, Audrey.
Speaking of the late First Lady Audrey Graham, a mind-blowing secret is uncovered that will shake the Graham household to its very core. Audrey, though she is dead, still manages to wreak havoc in the family like never before. With the unveiling of this secret, Francesca, Stiles and Pastor are so stunned that even their trust in God is shaken.
Stiles’ sister, Francesca Graham, struggles to adapt to being married, after turning to God and away from her former lesbian lifestyle. However, her combat with AIDS wreaks havoc on her fragile body. Fearing she has not repented from her old way of living and the ill-gotten manner in which she treated her one time best friend, Rena, who happens to be Stiles’ ex-wife, she asks Rena to come to see her so she can have a chance to make things right between them.
Rena is busy adjusting to a new, more secure and loving relationship in Massachusetts with science teacher and basketball coach Robert Becton. She has accepted his proposal of marriage too, but she hurries to Tennessee for what could be the last time she sees Francesca alive. The pangs of seeing her best friend and former lover in such bad physical state cause Rena to break down emotionally.
Without Robert at her side, Rena turns to Stiles, a man she once loved more than life itself, for some much needed consoling. One thing definitely leads to another when Stiles and Rena become entangled in something they do not know how to get out of when they allow the past to surface in their future. Where does this leave Detria and Robert? What will happen in the ongoing saga of My Son’s Wife?
Okay, now that you’ve read the synopsis, put on your thinking caps and send your title ideas to: BOOKS@SHELIALIPSEY.COM BY NOVEMBER 1, 2011.
